ALERT: Portion of The Old Spanish Trail & Gunnison River Bluffs Trail will be closed
for recreational use from August 31, 2011 to September 14, 2011

Due to construction activities occurring along a portion of The Sisters Trails the trail system there will be limited access for recreational use, including hiking, biking and horseback riding from August 31, 2011 to September 14, 2011.

• From the 28 ½ Road trailhead, trail closure occurs approximately 2 miles on the Old Spanish Trail and approximately 3.5 miles on the Gunnison River Bluffs Trail. You will be able to connect to each trail and loop back to the trailhead.

• From the Coffman Road trailhead, trail closure occurs at approximately 1.5 miles on the Old Spanish Trail and approximately 3 miles on the Gunnison River Bluffs Trail. You will be unable to connect to either trail and must turn back from each closure point.

than 7 miles long; the Gunnison River Bluffs is more than 12 miles.
The two form “The Loop” and intersect in several places.
